• 2017 Holiday Gift Guide For Everyone on Your List

MarketStreet Lynnfield challenged me to put together my holiday gift guide with items available at their lifestyle center and it was a piece of cake. It’s the place where I do a lot of my shopping and I’m often there hanging out with my son, Crew (we love the little children’s play area and all of the dining spots). The suggestions below are my ideas for her, him, the kids and even the folks who are a little tough when it comes to finding an item that they’ll really like (and don’t already own).   For Her 1. & 2. The Marble & Copper…

  • Holiday Hosting Tips for a Stress-Free Soirée

If you own a home or are renting a really cute apartment, chances are you’re going to want to host a gathering for family and friends at some point. My husband and I have hosted quite a few since moving into our home and having a son, and we even have a couple parties coming up in the next few weeks. Here are my tips for hosting a fun and as stress-free as possible social gathering this holiday season (purely based on my own trial and error!):

  • 2018 Holiday Gift Guide for Her

For my compilation of gift suggestions this year, I tried to include atypical items in lots of different price ranges (more than half only cost $25 or less) and most of them are items on my personal wishlist. Be sure to read the descriptions below because I talk about why these items are cool. A few of these would work as a guy’s gift and a bunch can be easily ordered on Amazon.

  • Newborn Baby and Mom Essentials

When I was introduced to Jami Reyes, owner of Hip Baby Gear in Marblehead, MA, I was immediately impressed with how much knowledge she has about baby and kid products (much more than any person I’ve ever met). Once we decided to collaborate this summer and after many conversations with her, I knew that I had to share her product insights in a dedicated blog post. I wish that I had visited Hip Baby Gear before I had Crew because she would have helped me determine what products to add to my registry, including a mix of newborn must-have, transitional…

  • North Shore, MA (North of Boston) Recommendations

I grew up on the North Shore of Massachusetts and I’m so happy to be living there now as an adult. I often drive home from a busy day in Downtown Boston and feel like I’m heading to a vacation home since I’m a short drive from all of my favorite beaches and I have beautiful horse farms around me. I’m still close enough to a highway that takes me straight into the city so I don’t feel like I’m in the middle of nowhere. Many of the North Shore towns make great day trips for people in Boston or…

  • In-Stock Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Items: Top Picks

Today is the first day that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public (the sale continues through August 5th). All of my fave items, below, are ones that I saw in-store, currently own and/or tried on and are still available. My local Nordstrom had a good selection of items that were different than other stores and so many of the items are better looking than how they appear online. Here is a super streamlined selection of only the items that I think are the best marked-down items to consider getting during this sale (especially if you think you’ll want…

  • Bridal Shower Ideas With a Flower Bar

My mom and I co-hosted a bridal shower for my sister at her high school alma mater (inside one of the library rooms) and wanted to add a few touches to the event to make it extra enjoyable for guests. The flower bar set-up for guests to arrange their own mini bouquet to take home was probably the biggest hit (the ombré pink photo backdrop set up along one wall was a lot of fun too). Photos from the bridal shower are below, along with the names of the vendors that we hired and/or links to some of the items…

  • DIY Bachelorette Party Hangover Kit

For my sister’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas, I wanted to give all 15 girls a little something fun at the start of the weekend – a Hangover Kit! Granted, I don’t envision anyone getting too crazy hungover but the kit idea is cute and you never know how someone will feel after a long night out (we are celebrating in Vegas, after all). The key is buying a lot of stuff in bulk. Here’s the list of everything I included in the bags if you want to re-create something similar for an upcoming bachelorette party: Cloth drawstring goodie bag…
