I am going to be kicking off a few different blog post series; “Things I’m Loving Lately” will be a repeat post topic because I’m finding way too much good stuff not to share…
1. I used to think that IKEA had the best deals on orchids but Trader Joe’s orchids are even better. For $12.99, you can take home a ceramic pot with two flowering stems of big moth orchids. I like to re-pot multiple stems together in one big vase, as seen on my kitchen counter.
2. The pink terracotta pot I used for my kitchen orchids is from Anthropologie – they always have such pretty pots on display for reasonable prices.
3. I’ve been wearing this casual pink gingham top a lot (also in the pic above) – it has cute buttons running down the back and is a little longer back there too.
4. L’Oréal towelettes are what I now use to self-tan at home.
5. The Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette looks like it has some crazy colors, but once I started playing around with them on my eyes, I found them to be very wearable. It’s the palette I’ve been using daily.
6. I joined the indie food subscription service, Hungryroot, over a year ago and receive a couple of the desserts every two weeks: the black bean brownie batter and the almond chickpea cookie dough. They taste so similar to the real deal.
7. Crew’s pediatrician recommended this new Aveeno nighttime baby balm to calm his eczema. She wants me to use a balm on his skin – not a creamy lotion – as much as possible throughout the day. I have no idea how Aveeno was able to come up with such an amazing, non-greasy balm. I’ve never seen a product with its consistency and it literally worked overnight.
