Florida Trip: What I Packed

Heading down to Florida soon for a long weekend trip because it’s my husband’s birthday and the snow has finally gotten to us…we’re missing summer weather big time. Retailers (e.g., REVOLVE, Shopbop and J.Crew) have the most stylish items for spring/summer – the selection of clothing and accessories just may be the best I’ve seen in a long time! Below are the items I purchased in advance of our trip. I couldn’t resist!

From left to right, top to bottom:

1. I bought this top on Revolve Clothing to wear during the day with shorts or jeans. I’ve been a fan of the line for years. The top is marked down to $40 right now too.

2. Straw bags are everywhere right now (tassels, pom poms and cute sayings, included). The little message on this bag was calling my name. I also had my eyes on this one and this one from Saks.

3. This off-the-shoulder striped dress is slightly sheer so it’ll will work as a cover up for trips to the pool. Snagged it for about $38 too on sale.

4. I love Ipanema rubber sandals since you can fully immerse them in water and not have to worry about ruining them. I bought my first pair at a boutique on Oahu and wore them out. I like straps that run around the back of the ankle too since they’re just better for walking around.

5. The way this Trina Turk one piece is cut, along with its low back, make it very flattering.

6. The light blue and navy color combo on these sandals (and the fact that they have pom poms and tassels) were just too good to pass up.

7. The most comfortable, yet stylish, sweater and wide-leg pants for going out to dinner. I feel as though I’m wearing soft pajamas!

8. I liked the colored lenses of these sunglasses and the shape looks like they’d be flattering on just about everyone.

9. Another off-the-shoulder dress I couldn’t pass up and plan to wear it by the pool and out at night.

10. I found this embellished pom pom sweatshirt on a random shopping site and thought it would be adorable (and comfortable) to wear on the plane. **update: sorry guys – as soon as I posted about this, the online site removed the sweatshirt! I’m assuming the owner couldn’t hand make them any longer.
