It feels like Baby Girl is going to arrive any day now (I’m going to guess that she’ll make her debut right around Mother’s Day but I could be totally wrong) so, this weekend, we’re focusing on washing her newborn clothes, packing the hospital bag and placing orders for the remaining items we want for her nursery. Over the past couple of months, I gathered a bunch of items that I really liked and thought were funky – the look, below, is the final inspo for the space. I toyed with the idea of doing a fun, tie dye accent wall (saving that for our master bedroom actually!) and even painting the walls a muted pink color but then realized that an array of subtle pink accents throughout the room was good enough and would make it look like a girl’s nursery without being too feminine.
Crew transitioned to a “big boy” room a few weeks ago so we are using his white crib and dresser for Baby Girl and keeping the walls of her room painted with Benjamin Moore’s Eider White, which is one of my favorite, super light, neutral gray colors. Crew and the new baby share a Jack & Jill bathroom, which is a great feature that came with the house. She also has a walk-in closet (she’ll love that when she’s a teenager), which means that we don’t need a lot of stuff on display or a lot of shelving. The room is pretty serene and neat, which I like! Once the space is done and Baby Girl is home, I’ll be sure to share how it all turned out!
